February 2007 Newsletter

I'll be taking a little time off from performing scheduled shows until April, but I wanted to let you know about a new concert series that I am helping to organize and promote.

The first JP Unplugged Acoustic Music Series show will be on Friday, February 23 at 8 pm, and will feature Vicki Genfan, an incredibly dynamic guitarist and singer/songwriter! "Imagine a composite of Jonatha Brooke and Michael Hedges and you're zeroing in on where Genfan is coming from..." - Acoustic Guitar Magazine, Jan.2002. If you haven't heard Vicki play before, check out this video courtesy of Luna Guitars!
JPU founding members Denise Barbarita and Patti DeRosa open the show.

The concert series is taking place at the historic Loring-Greenough House at 12 South Street in Jamaica Plain (across from the monument). Tickets are $10 each and may be reserved by calling the LG House at 617/524-3158.

Take a look at Carlyn's newly redesigned website! Hear a demo of a new song called "Shame", buy CD's and merchandise, and see new pictures. And as always, your feedback is always welcome. Enjoy!
